I personalize your guitar lessons based on your current playing level, as we work together to develop specific goals. Building your skills to where you want to take your guitar playing.
Multiple resources are utilized for you to learn from as well as individualized lessons based on how fast you are learning.
I structure your lessons carefully, building your confidence at every stage along the way. With the use of technology such as backing tracks, audio recordings and video, you are able to both see and hear your progress.
Together, we build a strong foundation of core guitar playing techniques and build your musicianship skills within the particular style that you want to play.
I like to keep your guitar lessons relevant to the music that you want to play, keeping each lesson fun and challenging so that you are satisfied with your progress. You need to be able to see and hear that you are getting the most out of your investment.
For advanced guitar players, I strive to keep you motivated and confident in your ability to play in front of—as well as with—your peers. We’ll work on increasing your playing speed without sacrificing accuracy, and improve your improvisation.
My students learn with confidence, because I provide a steady balance of patience, encouragement and fun in our lessons. By keeping our time together fun, yet challenging, it instills an atmosphere of discovery and creativity.
I am deeply committed to my guitar student’s progress and have the gift of taking someone with either no experience or a lot of experience, and help them to realize their dream of playing guitar better, either just for fun, or for playing in front of an audience.
My lessons are fun and enjoyable and at the same time challenging so that my students can see –and hear–their guitar playing improve and gain confidence in their ability to perform.
With over 40 years of experience in the music field, I am skilled in a variety of musical guitar styles from classic rock to contemporary pop which includes worship, folk, bluegrass and other genres of music. I teach acoustic, electric guitar and classical guitar. I have a Degree in Guitar Performance from Southern Methodist University.
